2 including Chhatra Dal leader stabbed to death in Ctg, 1 arrested
The motive is still under investigation, and police are searching for other suspects involved

Two people including a leader of Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal, the BNP's student wing, has been stabbed to death in Hathazari, Chattogram.
The incident occurred around 9:30pm on Tuesday in Chowdhurihat Bazar, Hathazari, confirmed Chattogram District Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Alauddin Talukdar.
The deceased are Opi Das, 30, president of Chikondi Union Chhatra Dal, and his acquaintance Tanim Hossain, 20. Both were residents of Ward 3 of the same union.
According to police and local sources, Opi and Tanim were hanging out with a bunch of others in Chowdhurihat Bazar on Tuesday night when an altercation broke out and the duo was attacked and stabbed with sharp weapons by a faction.
Opi was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was declared dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Tanim died at 7am Wednesday at Chattogram Medical College Hospital's Ward 2 while receiving treatment, said SI Alauddin Talukdar.
Tareq Aziz, additional superintendent of police, Hathazari Circle, told TBS that CCTV footage showed a group of young men socialising, which escalated into a verbal argument and scuffle. Both victims were stabbed during the altercation.
Police have arrested one person named Afsar Uddin in connection with the attack. The motive is still under investigation, and police are searching for other suspects involved.
