A Chhatra Dal leader in Chattogram filed a case with the Chittagong Cyber Tribunal against a man for his alleged derogatory remarks against Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and Post, Telecommunication, and Information Technology Adviser, Nahid Islam.

Hafez Md Saifuddin, joint convener of the Fatikchhari unit of Chhatra Dal, filed the case today 24 (September) against Moktar Hossain.

Chittagong Cyber Tribunal Judge Zahirul Kabir Chowdhury accepted the case and directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the matter, said its Public Prosecutor Advocate Mejbah Uddin.

The complaint states that on 15 August, Moktar Hossain spoke for 7.37 minutes via a Facebook live video, during which he allegedly made derogatory remarks against CA Dr Yunus and Adviser Nahid.

He was also accused of making comments against Islam, hurting religious sentiments.
