Casino equipment, huge cache of illegal liquor seized

The Department of Narcotics Control has conducted a raid at the house of film producer and businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai today.

Assistant Director Khurshid Alam of the law enforcement agency confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

Law enforcers have seized casino equipment, 382 bottles of liquor, 2 packets of shisha weighing 4 kilograms, 200 grams cannabis and 24 cans of beer from the house.

Two people- Parvez and Nabi- were arrested during the raid. However Aziz Mohammad was not at home then. Aziz is thought to be staying in Thailand for a long time.

A case will be filed against Aziz Mohammad Bhai under Narcotics Control Act, Khurshid Alam added.

The raid ended at 10pm.
