50 lakh people to receive Family Cards within a year: PM

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said the upcoming budget will include a significantly larger allocation for the Family Card programme, with plans to distribute the cards to 50 lakh mothers and women within the next year.
While speaking this afternoon (16 May) at a roadside rally held in Laksam, Cumilla, en route to a gathering in Chandpur, he said, "Before the election, we spoke about re-excavating canals. As part of that commitment, I am visiting Chandpur today.
"We made many promises to the people. We will implement all promises step by step, Inshallah."
