Armed gunmen demonstrate in crowded Khulna area, fire celebratory shots in air

A group of armed gunmen have demonstrated and fired celebratory shots in the crowded Seven Roads intersection in Khulna.
The incident happened at 11:10pm last night (21 March), said locals.
"Police have recovered three bullet shells from the spot and started intense drives to arrest them," said Hawladar Sanwar Hussain Masum, officer-in-charge of Khulna Sadar Police Station.
According to locals, the gunmen arrived at the Sat Rasta intersection on 8-10 motorcycles from the city's Shantidham intersection, crossing through Martyred Journalist Humayun Kabir Balu Road.
They stopped their vehicles at the Sat Rasta intersection and fired several rounds of empty shots in the air, wielding their pistols.
Later, some of them got down from their bikes and rejoiced.
Locals said the gunmen then collected the shells of the bullets and moved ahead, where they exploded some cocktails and left the place.
The incident created panic among residents in the area.
