The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU), a special unit of Bangladesh Police, has arrested an alleged member of the banned militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from Narayanganj.
The arrestee is Md Aminul Islam, 20, hailed from Dokkhin Para area in Araihajar upazila of Narayanganj, said a press release.
Police arrested him at around 9:45 pm on Wednesday.

A mobile phone, a huge number of radical books and documents related to the ABT were recovered from him.
During interrogation, Aminul confessed about his membership in the ABT, while providing important information.
On Thursday, a case has been filed against Aminul with the Araihajar Police Station for his involvement in various terrorist activities under Anti-Terrorism Act 2009.
