4 arrested so far over killing of former Swechchhasebak Dal leader Musabbir
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB) is scheduled to brief the media on the arrests today (11 January 2026) at 4:15pm.
Police have arrested four people so far in connection with the shooting death of Azizur Rahman Musabbir, former general secretary of BNP volunteer wing Swechchhasebak Dal's Dhaka North unit, in Dhaka's Tejgaon area.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) is scheduled to brief the media on the arrests today (11 January) at 4:15pm.
The press briefing will be conducted by Md Shafikul Islam, BPM, PPM, additional police commissioner (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Yesterday, police detained three people, including the alleged main shooter, in connection with the killing. One more suspect was arrested today.
Earlier on 7 January, Musabbir was shot dead and another man was injured when miscreants opened fire on them on Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue near the Star Hotel in Karwan Bazar.
