35 crude bombs, bomb-making materials recovered from Mohammadpur's Geneva Camp: DMP
Confirming the matter, Assistant Commissioner of DMP (Mohammadpur Zone) Abdullah Al Mamun said, “The crude bombs and raw materials were seized from the rooftop of a building.”
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (14 November) uncovered a crude bomb manufacturing setup inside Geneva Camp in the capital's Mohammadpur area, recovering 35 crude bombs along with a large quantity of bomb-making raw materials.
Confirming the matter, Assistant Commissioner of DMP (Mohammadpur Zone) Abdullah Al Mamun said, "The crude bombs and raw materials were seized from the rooftop of a building."
According to police sources, the bombs were being made inside a building adjacent to the house of drug kingpin Bunia Sohel in Block 7 of Geneva Camp.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far. A police operation is still underway.
Earlier on 12 November, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered six petrol bombs and four crude bombs from the Rayerbazar Intellectuals' Graveyard area in Dhaka.
In recent days, several crude bomb blasts have occurred across the capital.
