3 held in Faridpur's Bhanga with large cache of petrol and crude bombs
Police have detained three people along with a large cache of petrol and crude bombs from the house of an expatriate in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur.
The arrests were made this afternoon (12 November) during a raid at Titu Sardar's house in Brahmanpara village under Azimnagar union. However, none of the household members were present at the time.
Confirming the matter, Bhanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Ashraf said, "Based on a tip-off, we raided the house and detained three people along with a large number of petrol bombs, crude bombs, and other bomb-making materials. We are investigating how they came to stay at that house."
The arrestees are Raj Islam (22) of Nagarpur upazila in Tangail, Rakib Hossain (25) of Matlab upazila in Chandpur, and Jewel Rana (22), of Dharmapasha upazila in Sunamganj.
The OC said legal proceedings were underway against the three.
