2 beaten to death on suspicion of being muggers in Dhaka's Beribadh

Two people on suspicion of being muggers were beaten to death in the Beribadh area under the capital's Darussalam Police Station this afternoon (31 May).
Confirming the incident, Darus Salam Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Ratul said the deceased could not be identified immediately.
Police and officers of other law enforcement agencies were currently at the scene, the SI said, adding that details would be disclosed after an investigation.

According to locals, the two people were beaten to death by a group of people at Ahmed Nagar of the Beribadh's Dwip Nagar area at around 2pm.
As of the filing of this report, their bodies were still lying at the scene.
