CPD to celebrate birth centenary of Bangabandhu
The organization will also celebrate golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) will celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman this year through various events.
The organization will also celebrate the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.
The Board of Trustees (BoT) of CPD took the decision at its 54th meeting in Dhaka on Monday, said a press release. CPD will publish articles on these occasions.
CPD's research and outreach-related activities between July and December last year were presented at the meeting.
The meeting, presided over by CPD Chairman Professor Rehman Sobhan, also discussed on ongoing activities of the organization.
The Board approved the CPD's plan for research, dialogue, publication and outreach-related activities for January–June 2020. The meeting also approved the revised budget for the last six months of 2019.
Among others, trustee members and coordinator of Nijera Kori Ms Khushi Kabir, former finance minister M Syeduzzaman, former advisor to the Caretaker Government and Chairperson of TIB Advocate Sultana Kamal, Executive Director of CAMPE Rasheda K Choudhury, eminent jurist Dr Shahdeen Malik, CPD's distinguished fellows Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya and Professor Mustafizur Rahman, CPD's Executive Director Dr Fahmida Khatun attended the meeting.
