The Supreme Court has set a new schedule for lower courts and tribunals across the country, fixing the judicial hours from 9:30am to 3:30pm, amid a fuel crisis triggered by the US-Israeli war on Iran.
According to a notification issued yesterday (5 April) by the judicial wing of the High Court Division, courts will observe a 30-minute recess from 1pm to 1:30pm for lunch and Zuhr prayers.
Registrar (Judicial) Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman issued the order following directives from the chief justice.
The new office timing will remain effective until further instruction. Weekly holidays on Fridays and Saturdays will continue as per the existing practice.
