HC drops Faruk Ahmed’s writ over BCB chief’s removal from cause list

A writ petition filed by former cricketer Faruk Ahmed challenging the legality of his removal from the post of president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been dropped from the High Court's cause list.
The bench of Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque and Justice Ainum Nahar Siddika passed the order today (2 June).
Barristers Ruhul Quddus Kazal and Kaiser Kamal represented Faruk Ahmed during the hearing.
Attorney General Mohammad AM Amin Uddin appeared on behalf of the National Sports Council (NSC), while Barrister Mahin M Rahman stood for the BCB.
Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim represented Aminul Islam Bulbul, and Deputy Attorney General Badiuzzaman Tafadar, along with Assistant Attorneys General Ershad Hossain Rashed and Ruhul Amin Shikdar represented the state.
