HC directs authorities to ensure security of Barguna child rape victim, family
HC also directs authorities to ensure security of the elder sister of the child who died after rape in Magura

The High Court has directed the deputy commissioner (DC) and the superintendent of police (SP) of Barguna to ensure the safety of a child rape victim and her family in the district.
The court has also ordered the appointment of a social service officer to monitor the matter.
The bench of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury passed the order today (18 March) in response to a supplementary application, according to court sources.
The HC has also directed the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police of Magura to ensure the safety of the elder sister of the child who died after rape in Magura.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also been directed to take necessary steps to create public awareness about Section 14 of the Suppression of Violence Against Women and Children Act.
On 4 March, a seventh-grade girl was abducted by a group of men while she was returning home from coaching in Barguna municipality. She was raped and then left in a local park next morning.
The girl's father filed a rape case against two people with Barguna Sadar Police Station that night.
On 11 March, the father went missing at night and later his body was found near his house around midnight.
The girl's mother filed a murder case against five to six unidentified people with Barguna Sadar Police Station.
