Fugitive murder accused sent back to jail after arrest
Earlier, on 19 June, Shariful managed to escape from the custody of police while being taken from the courtroom of Dhaka’s additional metropolitan sessions judge to the court’s lockup.

A Dhaka court has sent to jail murder case accused Shariful Islam, 22, who had earlier escaped custody by assaulting police officials.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah passed the order today (1 October), according to court sources.
Shariful was arrested by police earlier today from the Feni railway station area.
He is an accused in the murder case of teenager Jisan Hossain under Khilgaon Police Station in the capital. The case is currently at the stage of recording witness testimonies.
Earlier, on 19 June, Shariful managed to escape from the custody of police while being taken from the courtroom of Dhaka's additional metropolitan sessions judge to the court's lockup. He reportedly struck police officers, removed his handcuffs, and fled in a planned manner.
On the same day, Mohammad Ripon Molla, the in-charge of the court lockup, filed a case against Shariful with Kotwali Police Station.
Shariful hails from Haripur village in Nawabganj upazila of Dinajpur district and is the son of late Shafiqul Ahmed.
