Ex-Cantonment OC Rakibul Hasan sent to 2-day remand again in sedition case
Police sought a three-day remand for further questioning, but the court granted two days

A Dhaka court today (28 September) has placed former Cantonment Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Rakibul Hasan on a two-day remand in a sedition case filed over allegations of spreading anti-state and provocative statements on social media.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Israt Hasan passed the order after a hearing, said SI Tarequr Rahman of the prosecution department.
Rakibul was produced before the court after completing a five-day remand.

Detective Branch Inspector Mohammad Jehad Hossain, investigating officer of the Gulshan Zonal Team, sought a fresh three-day remand for further questioning.
The court, however, granted two days of remand.
