A Chattogram court has granted a three-day remand for Sajjad Hossain, also known as "Chhoto Sajjad", a top-listed criminal, in connection with a double murder case under Hathazari Police Station.

This afternoon, Senior Judicial Magistrate Nazmun Nahar approved the remand following a hearing on a police petition, confirmed Additional Superintendent of Police (Hathazari Circle) Kazi Tarek Aziz.

The double murder took place in the Hathazari area on 29 August last year. Following the incident, the younger brother of one of the victims filed a murder case.

Police sought a seven-day remand for Sajjad. After reviewing the petition, the court allowed three days of remand.

Sajjad currently faces over 15 cases, including charges of murder, arms possession, and extortion.

Sajjad was arrested on 15 March from Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Dhaka.
