Confirming the news to BSS, Annie's counsel Mohiuddin Chowdhury said the case was in testimony stage and the court disposed of it though the judgment as there was no substantial material to proceed further.

Police filed the case on 11 November 2013, over petrol bomb attack on a leguna in the city's Sutrapur area where five passengers received burn injuries.

Ten people including Sadek Hossain Khoka were implicated in the case. After his death, his name was dropped from the case. Police filed the charge-sheet on 21 May 2019.
