Ex-AL minister Nasim’s son has 14 apartments in US: ACC
The anti-graft body sued Tamal Mansur on charge of illegally amassing assets worth Tk67 crore

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found 14 apartments in the United States owned by former Awami League minister Mohammad Nasim's son Tamal Mansur.
The anti-graft body filed a case against Tamal over allegations of illegally amassing assets worth Tk 67 crore in Bangladesh and the US.
ACC Director General (prevention) Md Akhtar Hossain confirmed the filing of the case today (27 March).
According to ACC sources, Tamal Mansur's foreign assets include an apartment valued at $4.96 million in Aftab Skyview Tower on Jamaica Street in New York, a $1.96 million investment in a multi-story building on 148th Street near 89th Avenue in Jamaica, and a $1.42 million investment in Lot Jamaica, New York.
In total, his assets in the US are valued at $8.34 million, equivalent to Tk63 crore (based on an exchange rate of Tk75-77 per dollar).
Tamal Mansur is also accused of conducting financial transactions amounting to Tk3.37 crore across three bank accounts.
He has been charged under Section 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004; Sections 4(2) and 4(3) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2012; and Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.
