Coast Guard provides free healthcare in teknaf’s shahpari island

Bangladesh Coast Guard has distributed free medicines and extended healthcare services to disadvantaged residents of Shahpari Island, Teknaf.
According to Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Hoque, media officer of the Coast Guard, the force has long supported underprivileged communities in coastal and riverine areas by organising medical camps offering free treatment for poor and low-income families.
As part of this initiative, Coast Guard Base Chattogram set up a medical camp at Shahpari Government Primary School from 11am to 4pm on Thursday. A total of 525 people, including children, received free healthcare services and medicines.
He added that the Coast Guard will continue such humanitarian initiatives in the coming days.
