Coast Guard and Navy arrest two armed robbers in Teknaf

Two notorious robbers were arrested with a homemade firearm, a sharp weapon, and live ammunition in a joint operation by the Coast Guard and Navy in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Hoque, the Coast Guard Media Officer, confirmed the arrests on Tuesday afternoon.
Acting on confidential intelligence, the Coast Guard and Navy launched the operation at 2 a.m. on 18 March 2025 in the Unchiprang area of Ward 3, Hwaikyang Union, under Teknaf Police Station. During the raid, the forces apprehended notorious criminal leader Saleh (28) and his associate Anwar, alias Sadeq (23), at Saleh's residence. A subsequent search led to the seizure of a homemade pistol, a sharp weapon, and one live round of ammunition.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Hoque stated that legal proceedings regarding the seized weapons and ammunition are currently underway.
