CMP bans flying drones, carrying weapons centring Ctg BNP rally
The use of private aircraft in and around the venue has also been prohibited.
The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has imposed restrictions on the flying of drones and carrying weapons and explosives for two days beginning today in the city, citing safety grounds ahead of the BNP's scheduled rally.
The restrictions were imposed to maintain law and order and ensure public safety during the BNP's scheduled programmes for today and tomorrow at the historic Polo Ground of the port city, said a press release signed by CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz today (23 January).
The order prohibits the carrying and use of arms, ammunition, explosives, flammable substances, sticks, sharp weapons, stones, and other objects that could pose security risks, according to the release.
The use of private aircraft in and around the venue has also been prohibited.
The CMP has warned that legal action will be taken if anyone is found violating the order.
