Corps of Military Police (CMP) of Bangladesh Army organised the Annual Captain Conference-2021 at CMP Centre and School adjacent to Savar cantonment on Tuesday.

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed spoke at the event as chief guest, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

SM Shafiuddin, also the 6th Colonel Commandant of CMP, gave his guidance and advice to the military officers and CMP commanders present at the event.

He put emphasis on sophisticated and effective training as well as imaginative thinking in line with modern warfare's technological advancements.

He praised the role of military police towards the country, as well as the world community, and thanked every member of the force.

The occasion was graced with the presence of senior military officials of Army Headquarters, Army Training and Doctrine Command, and the Savar area.

Later, the Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the newly erected memorial "Bijay Chetan" at CMPC&S in memory of the 17 valiant freedom fighters of CMP and planted a sapling there.

He also unveiled the nameplate of 'Major General Zainul Abedin Auditorium' at CMPC&S Centre.
