Chief adviser releases commemorative stamp for july mass uprising day
To mark the 2025 July Mass Uprising Day, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus unveiled a commemorative postage stamp and related items today.
The launch ceremony took place at the Jamuna State Guesthouse this afternoon. Also present were:
- Professor C R Abrar, Education Adviser
- Mr Faruk-e-Azam, Adviser on Liberation War Affairs
- Mr Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser on Industry and Public Works
- Ms Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Environment Adviser
- Mr Foiaz Ahmad Tayyab, Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications & ICT to the ChiPosts and Telecommunications Division
Professor Yunus paid tribute to the martyrs of the July 2024 uprising, emphasising that the stamp and related philatelic items symbolise the nation's unwavering resolve to uphold democracy, inspire future generations, and ensure that the sacrifices made are never forgotten.
