Chhatra Dal demands for removal of 'fascist allies' from NCTB
"While all democratic people of Bangladesh and the international community wholeheartedly embrace the July-August mass uprising, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) does not," claimed the student wing of BNP in a release

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has demanded the removal of NCTB Chairman Rabiul Kabir Chowdhury and Member (Textbooks) Riad Chowdhury, calling them active "fascist allies" within NCTB because they were beneficiaries of fascist Hasina and close to former education ministers Dipu Moni and Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel.
"While all democratic people of Bangladesh and the international community wholeheartedly embrace the July-August mass uprising, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) does not," claimed the BNP student wing in a press release issued today (27 April).
"Their indifference to creating an objective curriculum for teaching primary and secondary level students about the July-August mass uprising is noticeable. NCTB's reluctance to mention the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs in the curriculum is evident," reads the release.
"We demand that the current interim government immediately remove these two officials from NCTB," reads the release.

In the release, JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir said NCTB must fulfill its primary responsibility of informing the next generation about the significance of the July-August mass uprising.
"But the authorities at NCTB are still nurturing fascism. If we cannot expel the fascists from NCTB, it will not be possible to teach our next generation the correct history," reads the release.
