The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) today (18 September) announced its full panel for the upcoming Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Cucsu) election, scheduled for 12 October.
Sajjad Hossain Hridoy, a 2015–16 philosophy student and the unit's organising secretary, has been nominated for vice-president (VP), while Shafayet Hossain, a 2016–17 sports science student, is the general secretary (GS) nominee.

For assistant general secretary (AGS), the nominee is Ayubur Rahman Taufiq of the 2020–21 session in the Department of Islamic History and Culture.
The panel was unveiled at 1:30pm at the university's Buddhijibi Chattar during a press conference addressed by JCD Central Committee General Secretary Nasir Uddin.
After announcing the panel, Nasir said, "We believe courageous, talented and prudent students will vote to make the Chhatra Dal panel victorious. Those nominated have long worked for students' rights and are among the most popular in the student community. Although we have received complaints of irregularities in other university student union elections, we are continuing the tradition of announcing a full panel for the Cucsu election. We hope the university students will choose Chhatra Dal's candidates as their rightful representatives."
Distribution of nomination forms began on Sunday (14 September) and was initially scheduled to end on Tuesday (16 September). Following student demands, the election commission extended the deadline to 5:00pm on Wednesday (17 September).
After submission, scrutiny will be completed and the preliminary list of candidates published on 21 September. Candidates may withdraw their nominations until 23 September, and the final list will be released on 25 September.
