CA's Fisheries Week event deferred for national mourning
The scheduled National Fisheries Week programme of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has been postponed after the declaration of observance of the one-day state mourning tomorrow following the tragic Air Force training aircraft crash in the capital's Diabari area today (21 July).
"The chief adviser's programme of the National Fisheries Week, which was scheduled to be held at 10:30am on Tuesday [22 July], has been postponed. The event will be held at the same time on Wednesday," the Chief Adviser's Press Wing said in a statement.
The government has announced that tomorrow would be observed as a day of national mourning following the tragic crash that left at least 19 dead and over 160 injured.
To mark the mourning, the national flag will be kept at half-mast at all government, semi-government, and autonomous offices, as well as at all educational institutions across the country tomorrow, said a press release issued by the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
