CA hands over Purbachal plot deed to Sagar-Runi's son Megh
The chief adviser also inquired about the progress of the long-pending Sagar-Runi murder investigation.

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has handed over the deed of a three-katha plot in Purbachal to Mahir Sarowar Megh, son of slain journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.
At the state guesthouse, Jamuna, this afternoon (21 August), the chief adviser inquired about the progress of the long-pending Sagar-Runi murder investigation.
"Such prolonged delays in investigations create frustration among people and erode public confidence in the justice system," Yunus said, instructing the authorities concerned to conclude the probe quickly.
Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, who was present at the event, noted that many vital pieces of evidence had already been lost due to the prolonged investigation, according to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
At the ceremony, Megh gifted the chief adviser a jersey and a bag of his own design.
According to media reports, Sagar had applied for the plot in 2004 and was allotted it in 2005. Although he fully paid for it in 2009, the previous Awami League government did not hand over possession to his family.
Currently, Sagar's mother, Saleha Monir, and his son Megh are the legal heirs of the plot.
