A BNP delegation will meet Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus tomorrow (10 February) to express concerns over recent incidents of vandalism across the country, including at Dhanmondi 32.

BNP's top leaders discussed the issue at a Standing Committee meeting on Friday (7 February) and instructed party members to avoid violence, reports Jamuna TV quoting BNP Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed.

He said the meeting will be held at the chief adviser's residence, Jamuna, at 6pm tomorrow.

However, who will be the BNP delegation is yet to be confirmed.

BNP suspects these acts of vandalism and disorder might be part of a "broader conspiracy" – either to prolong the next national election process or to pave the way for a different political outcome, according to previous media reports.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury are currently on a visit to the United States and are expected to return by Sunday evening.

They may be present at the meetings with the Chief Adviser, according to a Prothom Alo report.
