Khaleda Zia sends seasonal fruits to Qatar's Emir, PM
The gift was sent as a gesture of goodwill and gratitude by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman have sent fruits from Bangladesh to Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
Qatar's foreign affairs ministry's Director of the Protocol Department Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhro received the seasonal fruits in Doha at 3pm today (25 June), BNP Media Cell member Shyrul Kabir Khan said.
The gift was sent as a gesture of goodwill and gratitude by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Enamul Haque Chowdhury, Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar Mohammad Nazrul Islam and Qatar BNP General Secretary Shariful Haque Saju were present during the gift-handing over ceremony.
Besides, immense gratitude was expressed for sending a special air ambulance of Qatar's Emir to facilitate Khaleda Zia's journey to London for better treatment.
On 23 June, Mymensingh Divisional BNP Organising Secretary Shariful Alam made the overall arrangements for sending the gifts from Dhaka Airport on behalf of the BNP chairperson and acting chairman.
