BNP celebrates Khaleda Zia's 80th birthday
Reports from six government agencies submitted to the High Court in December 2021 mention three different dates
BNP is celebrating Chairperson Khaleda Zia's 80th birthday today (15 August) with various programmes across the country.
Affiliates of the party, including the Bangladesh Kormojibi Dal and the Jatiyotabadi Muktijoddha Dal, held separate discussion meetings at the National Press Club to mark the occasion.
Doa and milad mahfils will be held at mosques and BNP offices nationwide.

In Dhaka, the party will arrange a doa and milad mahfil on the ground floor of its central office in Nayapaltan, where senior leaders will be present, according to a BNP press release issued on 13 August.
Khaleda Zia's date of birth, however, has been the subject of discrepancies.

Police Headquarters and Dhaka Metropolitan Police records show her birthday as 15 August 1946, while the Special Branch of Police and documents from the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education cite 5 September 1946.
Meanwhile, a health ministry report states that the BNP leader's date of birth is 8 May 1946.
