Miss Earth Indonesia 2025 Putri Andriani Juficha has died at the age of 25, with news of her death announced yesterday (14 August), the day she would have turned 26.
No cause of death has been publicly disclosed, reports Hindustan Times.
The Miss Grand Indonesia Organisation, where Putri had previously competed as a runner-up in the 2025 competition, announced her death on Instagram and paid tribute to her "grace, strength, and spirit."
The organisation described Putri as a valued member of its "Grand family" and expressed condolences to her family and loved ones.
The Miss Earth Organisation also expressed "profound sadness" over her death in a statement issued today (15 August), praising her warmth and spirit and offering condolences to her family, friends and the Indonesian community.
Putri was a law student and had used her pageant platform to promote environmental causes. Her Miss Earth profile highlighted her advocacy for recycling, river protection and environmental sustainability, particularly from the perspective of environmental law.
Tributes from fans and fellow pageant contestants followed the announcement, with many expressing shock and condolences on social media.
Putri had been less active on social media in recent weeks.
Her final Instagram post, published on 21 July, showed her wearing a football jersey with a black skirt and carrying a brown handbag.
Fans later left messages of condolence on the post following news of her death.
