Blast kills 3 in Gaibandha home

Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mehedi Hasan said, “The blast left one dead on the spot and two others critically injured.”

Three people were killed in an explosion inside a house in Gaibandha's Gobindaganj upazila on Wednesday evening.  

One of the deceased was identified as Ohedur, 32, resident of Nayapara village and the rest two hailed from other districts, reports Somoy TV.

Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mehedi Hasan said, "The blast left one dead on the spot and two others critically injured."

Later, the injured were taken to Gabindaganj Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead, the OC added.

When contacted, Fire Service Station Manager Arif Anwar could not confirm about the reason of the explosion.

Gaibandha Police Superintendent Mohammad Tohidul Islam said, "The cause of the blast would be ascertained after inspecting the spot."

Law enforcers have been deployed in the village following the blast incident, the official added.
