Barishal ADC Rashedul, accused in July uprising case, ‘missing’ for 3 days
The matter has been reported to Police Headquarters

Rashedul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of the Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Traffic Division and an accused in a July mass uprising murder case, has been missing for three days.
Police have no information on his current whereabouts.
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam confirmed the information, stating that Rashedul had not been reporting to work for three days.
"The matter has been reported to Police Headquarters, which will take further action," he added.
According to police sources, Rashedul left the Shitalakhola Traffic Office in Barishal in the afternoon on 9 March. Since then, he has not returned to his residence in the city, nor did he report to work. There has been no record of him taking leave.
ADC Rashedul Islam is an accused in a case involving the police shooting of a protester during the student movement, an incident that took place in Rampura, Dhaka.
The case was filed with Rampura Police Station.
Rashedul Islam joined Barishal Metropolitan Police in September 2024.
