Evan's work stood out for its depth, creativity, and message of environmental responsibility through digital art
Md Shahriar Azad Evan, a young digital artist from Bangladesh, has earned international recognition by securing a top position in the CICA Artificial Intelligence Art Competition 2025, held in Azerbaijan on Wednesday (12 November).
Organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), the competition celebrated innovation at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and art.
This year's theme — "Youth Empowerment in Green and Sustainable Development Goals" — invited young artists from across Asia to explore how artificial intelligence can advance environmental awareness and creative problem-solving. More than 260 AI-generated artworks were submitted from CICA member countries, each reflecting diverse cultural perspectives on sustainability and a shared vision for a greener future, according to a press release.
Representing Bangladesh, Evan impressed the international jury with his unique artistic vision and inventive use of AI to illustrate the balance between technology and sustainable development. His work stood out for its depth, creativity, and message of environmental responsibility through digital art.
CICA officials commended all participants for their contributions, saying the initiative continues to inspire youth to use emerging technologies for positive social impact.
Evan's success, they noted, underscores the growing talent and global presence of Bangladeshi youth in the expanding field of digital creativity and environmental innovation.
