10th tourism fair on 3-5 February
Local and foreign tour operators, travel agents and tourism authorities will participate in the three-day international event

The 10th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2022 will take place from 3-5 February this year at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka.
The Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (Toab), the organiser of the fair, announced at a press conference at the National Press Club in the capital on Monday.
Domestic and foreign tour operators, travel agents, tourism authorities, airlines, hotels, resorts, amusement parks and transport companies will participate in the three-day annual international tourism fair.
Owing to a surge in Covid-19 cases, the participation of foreigners will be limited this year, according to Toab, which has been organising the fair since 2007.
The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Eastern Himalayan Travel and Tour Operators Association, Association of Buddhist Tour Operators and tour operators and travel agents from India, Nepal, the Maldives and Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation in the BTTF 2022.
There will be a total of 130 stalls including 12 pavilions and 16 semi-pavilions and also a separate lounge for journalists from both the print and electronic media.
"The BTTF is the largest and most popular tourism fair in Bangladesh. But we could not organise the event in the last two years due to the pandemic," said Toab President Md Rafeuzzaman said at the press conference.
"We hope that BTTF 2022 will create a lot of excitement among businessmen, domestic and foreign tourists and all concerned in the tourism industry," he added.
The Toab president said the main objective of the fair is to create awareness about tourism and its sustainable development, and after the pandemic, the fair will help revive the tourism industry of Bangladesh.
He hoped that tour operators and travel agents from more countries will confirm their participation in the fair in the next few days.
Toab Director (Trade and Fair) Md Anwar Hossain said that they have taken an initiative to make this year's fair more attractive and magnificent compared to the last edition of the event.
Business-to-business (B2B) sessions, seminars, roundtable discussions, country presentations, cultural events and raffle draws will take place on the side-line of the main fair, he added.
People will be able to visit the fair every day from 10 am to 8 pm with a Tk30 entry fee while students can enter the fair for free by showing their identity cards. There will be a raffle draw using the entrance tickets.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali is expected to inaugurate the fair.
BTTF 2022 is supported by the civil aviation and tourism ministry, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Bangladesh Tourist Police.
