Bangladesh Coast Guard provides free medical services to people in Bhola

The Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted a medical campaign in the Chandraprasad area of Velumia Union, Bhola, on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, providing free healthcare services and essential medicines to 370 underprivileged and distressed individuals, including children.
Coast Guard Base Bhola organised the campaign, which took place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Medical services were administered under the supervision of Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Akhi Tamanna, AMC.
Following the campaign, Lieutenant Mozammel Haque addressed local fishermen in a public awareness session. His speech focused on the hazards of illegal fishing practices, the prevention of drug and human trafficking, the dangers of using unauthorised fishing nets, and the importance of ensuring the safety of life and property on boats and waterways.
The general public, including residents and fishermen, attended the awareness session.
