Bangladesh air chief meets Pakistan army chief, discusses defence cooperation
Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Force of Pakistan Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Thursday (8 January), with discussions centring on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and ways to enhance bilateral defence and military cooperation.
At the meeting, held in the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening professional collaboration, training exchanges and defence ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, the visiting Bangladeshi air chief lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and appreciated their contributions to regional peace and stability.
Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan's commitment to fostering enduring defence relations with Bangladesh.
The meeting concluded by reaffirming the longstanding and strong bonds between the two brotherly countries, the ISPR said.
