Arsa top leader Ataullah, 5 associates sent to jail after remand

A Narayanganj court today (22 April) sent Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) top leader Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi and five of his associates to jail following an eight-day remand.
Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Belayet Hossain passed the order, said Narayanganj Court Police Inspector Mohammad Qaiyum.
The five associates are Mostaq Ahmed, Salimullah, Md Asmatullah, Hasan, and Moniruzzaman.
Ataullah and several others were arrested by RAB in the early hours of 17 March from an apartment in Bhumi Palli Tower at Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.
That same day, RAB also detained four other suspected Arsa members from Mymensingh's Notun Bazar area.
