Army seize firearms, ammunition in Bandarban
No arrests were made during the raid

Bangladesh Army personnel in a drive seized weapons, ammunition and cash from a remote area in Rowangchhari upazila of Bandarban on Wednesday.
A team of Bangladesh Army (Bandarban Zone) busted a hideout of armed members of Parbatya Chattogram Jana Sanghati Samiti (Santu Larma) at Nowa Patang union at dawn, said a press release issued by ISPR.

After receiving information about a hideout of armed criminals, the team conducted a special operation in the area. However, the criminals fled the scene after a shootout took place between criminals and the army personnel.

The team then searched the hideout and seized a loaded pistol, magazines of AK-47, several ammunition bandoliers, commando knives, huge ammunition, locally-made sharp weapons, walkie-talkies, solar chargers, 13 mobile phones, cash and national identity cards of the criminals.

However, no arrests were made during the raid.
