9 injured after army patrol vehicle gets rear-ended, falls into ditch in Rajshahi
Two of eight injured army personnel are in critical condition, says Mohonpur Police Station OC

An army patrol vehicle fell into a roadside ditch after being hit from behind by a truck in Rajshahi early today (26 August).
Eight army personnel and the truck driver's assistant were reportedly injured in the accident.
The incident occurred at around 4:45am in the Bakshimail area of Mohonpur Upazila, on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway.
Mohonpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ataur Rahman said two army pickup trucks were returning to their camp in Bakshimail village after a night patrol.
A truck hit one of the army vehicles from behind, causing both the army vehicle and the truck to lose control and fall into the ditch, he added.
The police officer said the eight injured army personnel and the truck driver's helper were rescued by the army and police and taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Two of the injured soldiers are in critical condition, the OC said.
Legal action will be taken once the army camp commander arrives at the police station, OC Ataur said.
At the time of writing, the truck was still in the ditch, while the army vehicle had been recovered.
