Army chief calls for professionalism, impartiality ahead of polls
The meeting was part of the Army chief’s countrywide visits ahead of the upcoming polls and July Charter referendum.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman today (3 February) stressed the importance of performing duties with professionalism, impartiality, discipline, patience and a citizen-friendly approach.
He made the remarks during a view-exchange meeting with senior military officers, officials from various law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the civil administration from Shariatpur, Faridpur and Munshiganj districts under the Dhaka division.
The meeting was held at the Shariatpur District Circuit House.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, the meeting was part of the Army chief's countrywide visits ahead of the upcoming polls and July Charter referendum.
During the discussion, participants focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination and overall security arrangements to ensure that the polls, scheduled for 12 February, are conducted in a peaceful, impartial and fair manner.
