The Armored Corps' 44th Annual Commandant Conference-2024 of Bangladesh Army was held today at the Armored Corps Center and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment. 

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman was present as the chief guest on the occasion, said a release of the Directorate of Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR) this afternoon.  

Speaking on the occasion, the army chief provided necessary guidelines to the commandants of the units of the armored corps and other officers for the corps development as well as the Bangladesh Army

Referring to the glorious heritage of the Armored Corps and the contribution of the Armored Corps in serving the country, he asked all the members of the Armored Corps to remain ready to face the challenges of the 21st century by acquiring required capabilities through modern and up-to-date training.

Every member of the corps would set a unique instance of service to the country in the days to come, the army chief hoped.

Later, he planted a sapling there and attended a photo-session with the commandants there, the ISPR said. 

As per the military traditions and custom, the inaugural ceremony of the 'The 9th Colonel Commandant' of the Armored Corps was held at the Martyr Lt. Badiuzzaman Parade Ground in Bogura Cantonment. 

In the event, GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command, senior military officers of Army Headquarters, Commandant of the Armored Corps Center and School, Commanders of all armored brigades of the Bangladesh Army, commandant of armored units and media representatives, among others, were present.
