Alumni Association launched through Ramadan iftar
To mark the holy month of Ramadan, former students of the department organised an iftar in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, formally launching their alumni association.
The association commenced its journey with a 50-member committee. Chandan Das has been named president, while SM Tarek Sultan will serve as general secretary. The committee also includes alumni employed at various reputed organisations, according to the organisers.
The inaugural programme was attended by the department chair, senior faculty members, alumni, and representatives of the current batch.
According to the organisers, the alumni association will serve as a platform to support students through mentoring, career guidance, and industry collaboration, as well as research and academic assistance.
It will also undertake social and community development activities, contributing to students' pursuit of excellence in various fields alongside their studies.
