Allowance for govt employees’ training doubled, trainers’ honorarium raised
The new rates will apply only to subject-based internal training within respective departments, not for headquarters training of field staff or project-based training

The government has doubled the trainee allowance for subject-based internal training and increased trainers' honorariums, according to a Finance Division notification issued yesterday (14 August).
Under the revised rates, trainers of third-grade officials or joint secretaries and above will now receive Tk3,600 per hour per session, up from Tk2,500 set in 2019. Deputy secretaries and below will receive Tk3,000 per hour compared to Tk2,000 earlier.
Trainees from grade-9 and above will get Tk1,200 per day, up from Tk600, while those from grade-10 and below will receive Tk1,000, doubled from Tk500.
Honorariums for course directors have been raised from Tk1,500 to Tk2,000 per day, for course coordinators from Tk1,200 to Tk1,500, and for support staff from Tk500 to Tk1,000.
The new rates will apply only to subject-based internal training within respective departments, not for headquarters training of field staff or project-based training.
