All Brahmanbaria municipality staff show-caused for late attendance
The staff have been asked to respond to the show-cause notices within the next three working days

All officials and employees of the Brahmanbaria Municipality have been issued show-cause notices for failing to arrive at the office on time.
Although the notices were issued on Wednesday (18 June), the matter became public yesterday (19 June).
The staff have been asked to respond to the show-cause notices within the next three working days.
According to sources at the municipality, there are currently eight officials, including the executive engineer and municipal executive officer, and around 70 regular employees, along with several contract-based workers.
However, there have been repeated complaints that these staff members arrive late almost every day. As a result, citizens visiting the municipal office for services are often forced to wait for extended periods.
Following complaints from several affected service-seekers, the municipal administrator investigated the matter and, upon finding the allegations to be true, issued show-cause notices to all staff.
Shankar Kumar Biswas, deputy director of the Local Government Division and administrator of Brahmanbaria Municipality, said, "According to municipal regulations, every official and employee is required to be present in the office by 9am. But when I visited the office, I did not find anyone present on time. That is why I have issued show-cause notices to everyone."
He added that if any staff member fails to provide a satisfactory explanation, actions will be taken in accordance with the municipal rules.
