Bogura municipality upgraded to city corporation

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the transition of Bogura's 150-year-old municipality into a city corporation today (20 April)
Marking the upgrade, the prime minister unveiled a plaque at the municipal building around 12:15pm, according to the Prime Minister's Office.
Earlier in the day, at around 11am, he inaugurated an e-bail bond service at the Bogura District Judge's Court.
In the afternoon, he is scheduled to launch several development projects in Bagbari area of Gabtali upazila.
These include a canal excavation programme, distribution of family cards, and the inauguration of a measles-rubella vaccination campaign.
He is also expected to visit his ancestral home and later address a rally organised by the district BNP as the chief guest before returning to Dhaka.
