Awami League has nominated Rezaul Karim as the mayor candidate for the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation election.

He is Senior Joint Secretary of Chattogram Awami League.

His name was announced on February 15, Saturday at Ganabhaban.

Rezaul Karim worked before as organizational secretary in ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury's committee. 

He has been involved in politics from his student life and also joined the liberation war as a student.

The Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule of election today.

19 Awami league leaders including AJM Nasir Uddin applied for the mayoral candidacy in the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation election.
