After Manikganj, now crocodile spotted near Padma River in Munshiganj
According to locals of Shamurbari village in Gaodia union, two crocodiles were reportedly seen near a village pond, drawing crowds of curious residents and students.

Louhajang UNO Md Nesar Uddin said the wildlife conservation team has been informed and will rescue the animal.
Residents Md Hayat Hossain and Md Rana alias Madhu said around 8pm on Thursday (23 October), a crocodile was spotted near a cowshed. When people shouted in fear, it slowly returned to the river.
Another resident Salina Begum said, "I saw a crocodile near the cowshed at night. When I tried to take a photo, it moved away."
Locals have urged the administration to take action.
Earlier, a freshwater crocodile, declared extinct in Bangladesh in 2000 by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has been sighted twice this month; first in Rajshahi's Padma River and then in Manikganj's Tantrakhola canal — sparking fear, fascination, and ecological interest.
On 16 October, wildlife photographer Imrul Kayes and researcher Umme Khadija Eva documented the reptile in Rajshahi's Char Majhardia area.
