7 shops fined Tk62,000 in Chattogram

Chattogram district administration on Monday fined five shopkeepers and two pharmacies Tk62,000 for not having price lists in their shops and selling unauthorized drugs during dirves in Kotwali and Bahaddarhat areas of the city. 

The district administration said in a press release that Executive Magistrate Zillur Rahman led a raid on the Kotwali police station area and fined Ansar Store, Elias Store, Idris Store, Ghosh Store and Sohail Store Tk10,000 each, totalling Tk50,000, for not displaying the price list. 

District Administration Executive Magistrate Mizanur Rahman led a raid on Bahaddarhat Haq Market and fined Azgar Ali Pharmacy Tk10,000 for selling unauthorized medicines and storing life-saving medicines and injections in damaged refrigerator.

The district administration fined Shah Amanat Pharmacy in the same market Tk2,000 for selling drugs without maintaining social distance.
